Stormy Seas

It has been quite a number of days since I was last able to really sit down and do some much needed photography. I've been working extremely hard on side projects such as my work with the organic clothing company (www.love-haight.com) designing their site and PR materials, working with the talented Alicia Bock on her website, laying out my third issue of National Health Review (I'm the "AD" which means I do all the layout and graphics), and several other projects.
The funny thing is, since I picked up the camera again, my color pallet and the overall tonality of the photographs has shifted considerably... and I love it. Perhaps it'll be my "Stormy Seas" series. I have a group of soft petal flowers against a painterly dark cyan background, a gaggle of gossiping pears, punchy pink berries, and of course, my galleon above.
Here's to more stormy seas ahead, may they continue to bring me excitement and wonder.
